CADUK are specialists in the delivery of the Level 6 NVQ in Construction Site Management and are always being asked by prospective learners for our advice and guidance as to the next steps in terms of their professional development. For those who are genuinely carrying out the work at level 6, the Level 7 is a step too far because they have not yet developed the skills, knowledge and experience to be successful. There is however an alternative option that would genuinely provide them with further development opportunities and add real value to their CV.
CADUK now recommend the City & Guilds Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Practice (NVQ) because it should be accessible to most site based construction managers. The qualification is designed for those people involved in the practical application and/or management of health and safety. They will have an autonomous role in their organisation for managing health and safety policy and practice and will report directly to or be part of the senior management team.
But don’t take our word for it click here to download the qualifications initial profile tool to see if you have access to this qualification by carrying out your own self assessment against the requirements of the qualification.
