What is an (nvq) diploma?

(NVQ) Diplomas have replaced the old NVQ qualification. They are work-related, competence-based qualifications that reflect the skills and knowledge needed to do a job effectively, and show that an individual is competent in their area of work.

(NVQ) Diplomas are based on National Occupational Standards. These standards are statements of performance and knowledge that describe what competent people in a particular occupation are expected to be able to do. They cover all the main aspects of an occupation, including current best practice, the ability to adapt to future requirements and the knowledge and understanding that underpin competent performance.

Within reason, (NVQ) Diplomas do not have to be completed in a specified amount of time. They can be taken by full or part-time employees whose job enables them to develop the appropriate skills. There are no age limits and no special entry requirements.

Step 1: Locate the (NVQ) Diploma you would like to undertake (Use the Categories menu on the left to see the qualifications on offer), then contact us via phone, email, or website enquiry and we will provide you with further details.

Step 2: We will then send you an electronic (.PDF) 'Profiling Form' for you to complete and return to us. This process helps ensure that you have access to the qualification at the right level.

Step 3: Once we have agreed on a qualification, you will be registered with an Awarding Body and an induction will be arranged (the induction can be carried out Online, at our premises, or your own workplace). Part of the induction will be to provide you with access to your bespoke Electronic (NVQ) Diploma package. This will involve sending you simple instructions to set up your PC to access your online qualification including your unique username and password.

Step 4: We will then provide you with expert support, advice and guidance (face to face email, phone, Skype, Go-To-Meeting) to ensure you gain your qualification.
