WHAT IS AN E-NVQ?

An E-NVQ is an Electronic NVQ package that works in the same way as a regular paper-based NVQ. The difference being that all work is presented on a computer via the internet. All evidence that would usually be hard copy (paper) can now be simply scanned in and added to the E-NVQ.

When using the E-NVQ, the candidate has much more support from their assessor than the traditional way. If a candidate has any questions, problems, or simply just wants to discuss their work or evidence, the assessor can log onto the system and view their work immediately. This saves both parties having to book a date and time to physically meet at the candidate's workplace and go through the hard copy NVQ.   The E-NVQ also supports all types of electronic evidence, for example and audio recording, video recording, excel spreadsheet, word documents, PDF documents, images etc can all be very simply added to the candidate's online area.

HOW DOES THE E-NVQ WORK?

Each candidate is given a username and password to their individual Online area. Our E-NVQ uses a simple 'drag and drop' interface that works and looks exactly like browsing a folder on your local computer.

The E-area will be pre-populated with the candidate's NVQ and Electronic Signature. To use the E-NVQ; the computer must have an internet connection. Once the computer has been set up, the E-NVQ is ready to use. The candidate can now work through the various units of their NVQ and add evidence to their area.

When the candidate has reached a point where they would like their assessor to check their work, they can simply call or email them to let them know. The assessor can then log straight into the candidate's work and if possible; sign off the unit, or if there are still some areas that need improvement, the assessor can leave a comment directly on that piece of work advising the candidate on what they need to do.

WHAT DO I NEED TO USE THE E-NVQ?

To use the CAD UK E-NVQ system you will need:

• A computer (Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7)
• Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 or newer (Downloaded Free of Charge)
• A valid email address
• An active internet connection
