E-Portfolio?
Our Unique E-Portfolio System 'CADUK File Explorer' works in the same way as a regular paper-based qualification. The difference being that all work is presented on a computer via the internet.

The CADUK File Explorer E-Portfolio System allows the individual learner to collect, select, reflectively interpret, and present their own digital workplace evidence to support their assertions about what they know and can do to demonstrate competence against a variety of National Occupational Standards (QCF Qualifications).
When using the CADUK File Explorer, the learner has much more support from their assessor and the centre than the traditional way. If a learner has any questions, problems, or simply just wants to discuss their work or evidence, the assessor and learner can simply arrange a time to discuss the qualification on Skype/Telephone or they can log onto the system remotely (via our GoToMeeting software) and view the work together immediately. This saves both parties having to book a date and time to physically meet at the candidate's workplace to go through a 'hard copy' portfolio.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each learner is given a unique username and password that provides them with access to their individual CADUK File Explorer online area. Our E-Portfolio uses a simple 'drag and drop' interface that works and looks exactly like browsing a folder on your local computer.
The E-Portfolio will be pre-populated with the learner's (QCF Qualification). To use the CADUK File explorer; the computer must have an internet connection. Once the computer has been initially set up, the online area is ready to use. The learner can now work through the various units of their QCF qualification and add evidence to their area at their convenience.
When the learner has reached a point where they would like their assessor to check their work, they can simply call or email them to let them know. The assessor can then log straight into the learner's work and if appropriate; sign off the unit, or if there are still some areas that need improvement, the assessor will a note directly on that piece of work advising the learner on exactly what they need to do to meet the requirements.

what OUR CUSTOMERS THINK?
"Electronic Qualifications are definitely a must for the future. They cut down unnecessary travelling time, time consuming meetings and travelling expenses.
Your work folders and documents are at hand 24/7, including the online assessor (well, almost). Questions can be asked and answered in minutes using emails online assessor's help and comments. Complete units can be checked, assessed and signed off online almost immediately with progress monitored by both sides as the course progresses.
Before I started my own E-NVQ, I had not much experience with electronic logging and email communications, and now after completing my course, i have much more confidence using the computer and communicating with people online.
Many thanks to the staff at CADUK who have helped, shown patience and guided me to my new qualification"
