SQA Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations – Extracting – Skid Steer Loader
Who is this qualification for?
This qualification enables experienced individuals that specialise in operating Skid Steer Loaders to demonstrate their competence. Please note that this is not a training course, it is an assessment of competence through the recognition of the skills, knowledge and experience the learner already has. The learner must have a minimum of 6 months experience operating Skid Steer Loaders before they can be assessed for this qualification.
What are the entry requirements?
This NVQ Certificate is accessible to Red CPCS (Trainee Card) holders with at least 6 months experience in Skid Steer Loaders and enables them to upgrade to the Blue (Competent Operator) CPCS Card.
What is the duration of the qualification?
The assessment will be completed on-site in a single day.
The learner must ensure that access to a suitable location on-site is available for the recorded discussion to take place such as a site office or similar quiet place.
How is this qualification assessed?
CADUK provide a one-day assessment delivered on-site incorporating four methods of assessment (Professional discussion, witness testimony, observation of performance and inspection of work products). The entire assessment process is captured electronically by our on-site assessor through CADUK’s bespoke recording system.
When will I receive my certificate?
Our unique online electronic recording process allows us to process the assessment very quickly. Generally our learners will have the certificate of achievement delivered to their home address within 10 days of the assessment.
CADUK also have the facility to enable candidates to apply for their Blue CPCS card within 2 days of the assessment taking place, this is ideal for people who’s Red CPCS cards are coming up for renewal and therefore require a replacement card very quickly
Does this NVQ lead to a CPCS card?
This qualification will provide access to the Blue Competent Operator CPCS Card upon achievement.

Are there any additional costs?
If the candidate’s construction site is within the London area there are no additional costs. If our assessor is required to travel outside of the London area there may be a travel charge. Please let us know the address/postcode of your site and we will provide you with a quotation for the assessment.
