Due to a variety of factors (new industry regulations, client expectations, Brexit, industry downturn and increased competition from those who have benefited from a university education) a large number of experienced Construction Managers are missing out on work opportunities in the UK and abroad. This is not the result of their lack of skills, knowledge and experience, but simply because they don’t have the relevant managerial qualifications, professional recognition and industry accreditation.
CADUK have identified that the achievement of the Pearson Edexcel Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Construction Senior Management is the qualification that can take these experienced construction managers from ‘Zero’ to ‘Hero’ in just a few months.
All they have to do is reflect on their own professional practice, provide evidence of how they do their job or how they have done it in the past.
Within a few months they could:
- Become a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB)
- Become an Associate Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Assoc RICS)
- Become a Member of The Chartered Association of Building Engineers (MCABE)
- Be in possession of a Black CSCS Card
Many construction managers mistakenly believe that because the Level 7 NVQ Diploma is broadly equivalent to a Masters Degree and they don’t work for a main contractor that they aren’t able to achieve it. In our experience in the majority of circumstances this is not the case.
