An NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) is a work-based qualification that recognises the skills and experience you already use in your job. It is not a training course but an assessment of competence. With CADUK, your NVQ is completed remotely through our secure online ePortfolio system. You will work directly with an assessor using evidence from your real work such as documents, discussions and photographs. There are no written exams, no classroom sessions, and no time off site required.
You will have up to 12 months to complete your NVQ, although most CADUK candidates finish within 4 to 12 weeks. The timeframe depends on how quickly you can provide evidence and engage with your assessor, but our process is designed for experienced professionals to complete efficiently.
Your CSCS Card depends on the level of NVQ you complete. Level 3 and 4 NVQs lead to the Gold Supervisory Card, while Level 6 and 7 NVQs lead to the Black Manager’s Card. All CADUK qualifications are recognised by CSCS.
Yes. Our construction-based NVQs at Level 6 and Level 7 can lead to Chartered Membership (MCIOB) with the Chartered Institute of Building. The Level 7 NVQ in Construction Senior Management provides a recognised fast-track route to MCIOB, and we will guide you through every step of your fast-track application process at no additional cost once your NVQ is complete. The Level 6 NVQs in Construction Site Management, Construction Contracting Operations Management, and Senior Site Inspection can also lead to MCIOB through the full Professional Review route.

Yes. All CADUK construction-based NVQs are eligible for the CITB Short Qualification Grant. Employers who are CITB-registered can claim up to £600 per candidate once the qualification has been completed and certified. Please note that our Level 6 and Level 7 NVQs in Health and Safety are not CITB grant claimable.
